Lời giới thiệu: Thị Nại salwater lagoon covers an area of over 5,000ha with a length of more than 10km and nearly 4km wide. The lagoon is formed by tributaries of Kôn (Côn) and Hà Thanh rivers converging here. Thị Nại Lagoon once supported a mangrove forest of 1,000ha. Some of the forest was converted to aquaculture and waste from the city and port has accelerated the environmental degradation. For the last 15 years local authorities focused on restoring the ecosystem of a mangrove forest in the Thị Nại lagoon. Con Chim (Khu Du Lịch Sinh Thái Cồn Chim Đầm Thị Nại) ecological area that covers 480ha and is sourrend by 60ha of mangrove forest is a positive outcome.
